Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.

I can’t remember how many of these I have had over the years! Just love this product. Bought as a present for my son and his wife. All our children have nice had had a DustBuster. Wouldn’t choose any other brand. Love it!

This is my second DustBuster. This one is a newer model and I am delighted with it. If this one lasts as long as the last one eight years I will be pleased. One tip I would say is to order a spare filter so that you can wash the other one and don’t have to wait until it dries.

had the last one 3yrs before the battery started to give up so replaced with another as it is an excellent cleaner. This new one has lithium battery so should age a little better and it's much lighter.

Q : Does anyone know where to get a replacement battery for this? I've asked B&D and they say it dosnt exist, but I've seen in these previous posts that some of you have swapped for a new battery. Mine now only lasts 15 seconds before dying.

Q : Old one has a stand where it sits to charge. Does the PV1820L have similar?
A : I can confirm that the PV1820L has a docking station for charging, however, I am unsure if this is cross-compatible with older versions and would recommend speaking to Black and Decker for further advice.
