Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

Q : Hi, Can my current DCB115 XR charger, be used to charge a DCB546 18v/54v Flexvolt battery? Regards Alan
A : Hi Alan, I'm afraid the standard 18v XR chargers won't recharge a Flexvolt battery, and for that you'd need a Flexvolt charger such as the DCB118 which we stock on product ID 20993092. However, chargers like the DCB118 will work with the 18v XR batteries as well as the Flexvolt batteries, so you'll be able to charge them both from the same charger.
Q : How can a charger be cordless????
A : The charger itself (240v) isn't cordless, but is for the DeWalt 18v XR Cordless platform. Quite a few people search for things like "DeWalt cordless charger" which is why it's in the title
Q : Can DEWALT DCB205 20v battery be charged using DCB115 18v charger
A : Hi Gonen, strictly speaking this charger is only suitable for 10.8/14.4/18 Volt XR batteries and using it on the American 20v MAX platform is not something that Dewalt are likely to recommend.
Q : Is this charger compatible with DeWalt battery DCB181?
A : i can confirm that this is compatible with all 18v XR batteries including the DCB181
