Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
Bosch PowerForAll
The Bosch PowerForAll Tool range is a range of tools you can buy knowing that batteries are compatible with all tools in the range providing they are of the same voltage. eg 18v fits 18v, 12v (10.8v) fits 12v (10.8v) etc. Please also note that 10.8v is compatible with 12v & vice versa as it is just a name change. Indego Lawnmowers also use the PowerForAll 18v battery but require a cover plate to be removed if changing.
PowerForAll has many advantages not least the fact that once you have a tool with a few batteries then there is no need to buy the more expensive versions with battery & charger, you can just go ahead & buy the much cheaper no battery versions!
So remember PowerForAll signifies complete battery compatibility throughout the range. There is however, one caveat to this, some of the very first older chargers will not charge the very latest batteries & a battery charger upgrade will be required if you have a first generation charger. All batteries fit all tools however.
As of 2021 Bosch has licensed PowerForAll to other manufacturers whereby batteries between these manufacturers will be interchangeable.
Important
You cannot use Bosch Pro (Blue) batteries in either 12v or 18v DIY (Green) products.

No hesitation in using tool-up again. Easy to order, clearly described and delivered quickly without fuss. Product was to replace a failed unit I bought just over 3 years ago from a high street hardware chain. Unit itself lasted barely over the 3 year warranty but it did get a lot of hard use. Keep eye out for changes in habit around when squeezing trigger. started to to make a clicking noise and not a really smooth start to spinning. If happens to you get in touch with bosch at the first sign of trouble :) having said all that I've got another one from Tooled-Up so says it all :)

My first drill stopped working (probably an electronics fault) so I had batteries, a charger and a case. The replacement drill body was just what I needed. The drill body is an up grade on my original but the batteries fit and it works perfectly. I only use the drill for DIY projects so it is fit for purpose.

When my similar drill stopped working after much use, found this product offered ex batteries, ideal as my existing ones were fine. Very happy that new drill is identical to my old one [except it works!], so very satisfied with offer & delivery from Tooled-Up. Not sure why it was delivered by Amazon as I normally avoid using them.

Am delighted with my fantastic new drill/screwdriver I bought without charger nor battery as I already own the latest. Hence it cost me less than previously thought and I am now all equipped with solid European Bosch products which has been my ecosystem for years!! I would highly recommend this tool as I would always advise to be equipped with middle-range products for everyday use. If you can afford and have even more use than I have go for top range. Never go for low-end range as it is flimsy/poor quality, will not last long and soon will end up in the trash at best and can prove dangerous at worse.

Q : I bought a Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 Expert Power 4All drill several years ago & I am wondering if the batteries from this model will fit the newer model. Thank you
A : Hi Geraldine, I'm not familiar with an "Expert" model but I'm guessing your drill probably looks more or less identical to this current version? In any case, Bosch haven't actually changed the batteries since they introduced the 18v Power4All system, although it is now called PowerForAll, and they have different labels on them. The only thing that doesn't always work is some of the first generation chargers won't charge all of the newer batteries in the current range. But your batteries should work absolutely fine in this drill, yes.
Q : Is this drill complete with 1 x battery ?

Q : Does this drill come with Bosch's 3-year guarantee?
A : Hi Dennis, the PSB 1800 LI-2 comes with a 3 year warranty if it is registered with Bosch and assuming it is not used for professional, business or hire purposes. You can see more warranty info if you click on the link to the right of the product page which says "See Warranty information here". You should also be able to quickly find the supplied warranty for any tool on our site if you scroll down to the "More Help" section at the bottom of the product page.
Q : I know nothing about drills, so could you tell me please if this product includes the various bits for different jobs?
A : I can confirm that this drill comes with 1 double ended screwdriver bit and additional drill and screwdriver bits are available separately.

This product carries a full 3 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. In the unlikely event of a fault the item returned is subject to fair wear & tear and must not have been used beyond the scope of it's design. Please note that cordless products will normally have a shorter warranty of just 1 Year for the battery and or charger supplied.
