I found it very hard to connect the pole it took three or four attempts with most of the family helping to get it operational. Once done it ticked all the boxes when I used it. I would advise that despite the shoulder strap it is top heavy

Very fast delivery, brilliant communications. Although I would have bought it anyway I was mislead by the offer of 1litre of chain oil, this seemingly was only included if you bought battery and charger which I already have.

Exact tool we required and as we already have compatible battery no need to buy battery and charger, a little heavier than we expected with weight at the end could do with a counter weight so easier to use

Best price I found and now added to a growing bunch of tools that use the same pile of batteries which is a great idea. Used a couple of times and does the job well though does need re-tensioning and the oil topped up frequently. Arrived in good time.

Have only used this product once but got on quite well with it cutting small over-hanging hedgerow branches. It's quite heavy for a small female like myself but, having a harness with it helps a lot. One thing to bear in mind is finding out about doing an under-cut first before you cut right through, because if you get the saw wedged, it could be very difficult to get it out if its several feet up! Very pleased with my purchase.

I have the hedging pole already so had the battery and charger. I have used this pole pruner a couple of times now, on 100mm dia freshly cut branches, and on 125mm seasoned old hop poles. It cut through these sizes fine at a steady pace. Just be aware that the pole section with the battery is not interchangeable between the pole pruner and hedging pole attachments. Each attachment needs its dedicated pole section. Why Bosch have made it that way is anyones guess.

This chainpole does exactly what I expected and wanted it to do and enabled me to top a couple of conifers with ease. It then made light work of cutting the tops into fire suitable size logs. It's not the lightest but the shoulder strap takes most of the strain and the extended length is enough without getting into professional tree surgery territory. I've only had it for a couple of weeks and already three of me neighbours have borrowed it!

Excellent quality and saws through the tree branches very well. But I, mistakenly, thought that I could reduce the length of the saw to let's say half its length.

I am always perplexed that suppliers ask for a review the day after the product is delivered! I have tried this tool out but not actually used it for a "job" I tried it on a 5inch diameter log and it coped very well. For the money I think it is as good as one should expect. Easy to set up, easy to handle but of course at over 2 metres long it is heavy when reaching up to a branch but fairly well balanced. The upside is that once on the branch and cutting the weight actually helps the handling. I am very happy with my choice.

Very pleased with the purchase. Does what it's designed for well. Difficult to fault for construction, balance and effectiveness. The universality is a big advantage as another battery/charger need not be purchased if you already have these from another Bosch universal item.
