Not applicable, hence neutral stars! My review is of Tooled-Up and the process. They are brokers who place the order with the manufacturer. In this case, the product was lost between the manufacturer and my home by the delivery company. I phone TU on Monday (scheduled date) who said it would come on Wednesday but it didn't. I phone on Thursday, advised to send back the email I'd had about delivery. They investigated and said what happened. By chance, a friend visited who is a rope access professional and we did the job. I emailed TU who agreed to refund and cancelled the order. VERY PLEASED WITH TOOLED-UP for how they handled the problem. I'd also ordered a non-slip ladder mat which arrived a day early on the Sunday (fortunately, I was in) which is excellent

Q : Can a ladder be used as free standibg steps once these stabilisers are fitted ie with the top of the ladder not against a wall as would be the case if cutting a hedge
A : Hi Graham, Unfortunately Zarges have only provided the one stock image for this stabilizer – however it’s a bit misleading as it appears to show a version which we don’t actually stock, and which is designed for use with extension ladders (of the type that you would typically lean against a wall). The version we sell and which is listed here - 100040 - is only designed for step ladders with 6-8 treads, which can obviously be used freestanding anyway. These stabilisers just make them a bit more secure.
Q : Do they fit a 11 rung 3 section ladder (each section is 3m)
A : This is the Zarges 100040 model which is only listed as being suitable for ladders with 3 to 8 treads

This product carries a full 10 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. In the unlikely event of a fault the item returned is subject to fair wear & tear and must not have been used beyond the scope of it's design.
