Why use a Lawn Raker or Scarifier?
When you cut your lawn there is a gradual build up of dead grass also known as thatch - which congregates just on top of the soil below the grass tips. This will impede drainage and stop air reaching the grass.
Moss builds up on damp or lawns in the shade and will again affect the grass in a similar way.
Lawn Scarifiers
A Scarifier will help to remove moss & thatch but will also cut through the surface of the lawn. This has a number of benefits such as aerating the underlying soil & splitting the grass into lots of separate plants thus thickening the turf and encouraging a healthy lawn.
Use a Scarifier once a year either in autumn or late spring when the grass is growing well.
Lawn Rakers
A Lawn Raker will remove moss, thatch & leaves. This will help to keep a nice tidy lawn whilst encouraging growth as old dead material is removed which would otherwise stifle this growth.
Use a Lawn Raker every 1 - 2 months while grass is growing well.

Excellent machine. So far I have only used the scarifier attachment. It works supremely well and removes an unbelievable amount of thatch- hence the reason why the collection box fills up so rapidly. The machine seems to be very solidly built and is pretty easy to use. I am looking forward to trying it with the aerating attachment.

Competitive price and (as usual) delivered safely and promptly. Easy to put together following the supplied instructions. On first outing the effect seemed a bit brutal but the grass quickly recovered and is looking all the better for its ordeal. Many thanks.

I have used it only twice, once with the rake and once with the scarifier. On both occasions the results were excellent; masses of dead grass and moss. My only reservation is that the grass box is far too small. I had to empty it every couple of yards. In the end I used it without the box and hand-raked the debris. This is a powerful machine and good value for the money as long as you can put up with the inadequate grass box.

Arrived in good time, took 25 painless minutes to assemble The aerator part is quite savage even on the low setting, so changed to the scarifier which was much better Pleased with the product and would recommend in fact a friend has already purchased one and is also pleased

A : Good morning, unfortunately we do not sell spare parts for this item. Please do contact Ozito directly and they may be able to assist you further.
Q : how do you set the wheel height, do I remove single screw under red cap ?
A : Hi Chris, having consulted the manual there is no mention of removing this screw - it just states that you need to pull the red cap out slightly and this should enable you to rotate it to adjust the scarifier depth
Q : how to fit collection box cover and how to attach to machine
A : Hi Peter, you should hopefully get an assembly guide with the machine which shows all the steps needed to get it up and running. If this is missing you can contact the sales team or Ozito directly and they will be able to assist in getting one sent to you.
Q : what are the actual depth settings in mm, i cant seem to find them anywhere on the site. many thanks
A : Apologies for the delay in getting back to you - I've been trying to get this confirmed but can now verify they are -3mm, 3mm, 7mm and 9mm. I will add this information into our main description as well.
Q : How to replcae Areator roller to scarifier roller.
A : Hi Hamir, the included user manual should show you how to do this but unfortunately it is not available in PDF form currently

This product carries a full 3 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables.
