Battery AH Explained
The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.
Battery Voltage Explained
A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.

Excellent product as with most Dewalt. Didn't have to purchase a battery as it's part of the 18V system so the batteries are interchangeable with the numerous other Dewalt cordless 18V tools.

Q : Can I use one of the xr 54v batteries in this or does it have to be xr 18?
A : Hi Pete, the Flexvolt batteries will fit in the DCC018 inflator - however due to their larger size they stick out past the base of the tool so it won't stand up vertically
Q : If the car tires are overinflated, does the inflator reduce the tire pressure to the set pressure? Or, does the tire pressure need to be reduced by other means and then inflated?
A : The DCC018 can only be used for deflating when it is fitted with the High Volume hose, and the auto shut off doesn't work in this mode, only in High Pressure mode. So I believe you can only work to a set value when inflating. I would assume it will just switch off if you try and inflate something that is already past this threshold, rather than decreasing the pressure.
Q : Hi can the display be changed from Bar to Psi?
A : I can confirm that this will measure in bar, kPa and psi
